LAKEWOOD, N.J. (KLTV) – Former Van Vandal Hoss Brewer tossed a scoreless inning of relief in Brooklyn’s 10-3 loss to the Jersey Shore BlueClaws on Wednesday.
The righthander entered the game in the seventh inning.
Brewer came on in relief with no one out and the bases loaded. He forced Bock Vradenburg to ground out to first base for the first out of the inning. After allowing a single to Nick Biddison, Brewer got Luis Caicuto to fly out and Trent Farquhar to ground out to end the inning.
Brewer threw 15 pitches, 11 for strikes.
The Cyclones are still looking for their first win of the season. Brooklyn plays Jersey Shore on Thursday.
