THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — One person is dead after a traumatic collision with an MTA bus in the Bronx on Wednesday, according to investigators.

Authorities said a 32-year-old man on a motorcycle crashed into the front driver-side corner of the bus at around 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

Investigators determined that the man, identified as Andy Peralta, made a left turn onto West Mosholu Parkway South, going against the flow of traffic, as the MTA bus was going the other direction.

Peralta, of the Bronx, was launched from the 2025 Zhilong Motorcycle and suffered traumatic injuries to his head, according to police. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

There were approximately 20 passengers aboard the bus at the time of the collision. No injuries were reported from the bus, police said.

The bus and its driver remained at the scene.

There were no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

The MTA did not immediately respond to PIX11 News’ request for comment on the collision.
