NEW YORK (PIX11) — NYC Ferry is going to increase service frequency for most of its routes starting on Saturday.

The spring schedule began on Wednesday, but major changes will happen during the weekend.

The East River route will be split into two all day during the weekend. During weekday peak periods, the route is also split up to speed up service.

Some of the routes will feature more frequent service during the weekend.

The routes are:

On select weekend days, a ferry will operate specifically between the Red Hook/Atlantic Basin stop and the Wall Street/Pier 11 stop in the morning. This route is operated to accommodate cruise-related demand at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.
