Mariah Carey is officially saying goodbye to one of New York City’s most legendary celebrity homes.
The Grammy winner has listed her iconic Tribeca triplex penthouse for $27 million. And if you were a fan of early 2000s MTV, you already know exactly which apartment this is.
Carey purchased several units in the building back in 1999 for $9 million, piecing them together into one sprawling residence that spans the top three floors. The result is 12,700 square feet of living space, 1,100 square feet of outdoor terraces, and 360-degree views stretching from the Hudson River across the Manhattan skyline. This marks the first time the property has hit the market since Carey originally acquired it.
According to the listing, the apartment includes eight bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a gym, and a sunroom. “Four exposures fill the home with light throughout the day, while the private roof terrace, complete with an indoor/outdoor room and a fireplace, sets the stage for quiet mornings and landmark evenings,” the description reads.

The website also states: “The 16th floor can function independently, while the 17th and 18th floors form a distinct upper duplex crowned by the terrace.”
Carey’s 2002 episode of MTV’s “Cribs” definitely goes down in history. She arrived on camera in full diva mode, appearing in her bathtub, and famously worked out on a StairMaster in high heels. It was an episode that has lived rent-free in our heads ever since.
One notable absence from the current listing photos: the massive walk-in closet that was the star of the show. Floor plans suggest the dressing room is still there, but perhaps just missing from the marketing materials.
