Police shot a man after he stabbed three others Saturday morning at Grand Central Station.

Officers say they responded to an ongoing assault at around 9:40 a.m.

When police arrived, they saw a man wielding a knife. Officers discharged their weapons, striking the man.

Upon further observation, police found three victims with stab wounds.

An 84-year-old man, a 70-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man were hospitalized in stable condition.

Investigators say a knife was recovered at the scene.

The suspected attacker remains hospitalized in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
