The 57-year-old singer bought the spot in 1999 for $9 million.
“When I was little, I always wanted a penthouse apartment in New York with a view like this,” she said in her MTV Cribs episode.
Mariah Carey is moving on. The 57-year-old songstress has officially listed her iconic New York City penthouse for $27 million. According to People, Carey purchased “several units” in the building for $9 million in 1999, and combined them to create one expansive unit that she’s lived in since.

The 12,700 square foot Tribeca property spans the building’s top three floors and features eight bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a sunroom, a gym, and private outdoor space. Per the listing, it also has in-unit laundry, which is a must in Manhattan.
If you were around in the early 2000s, you may recognize the home from her legendary episode of MTV’s Cribs. On the show, she reflected on owning the stunning pad.
“When I was little, I always wanted a penthouse apartment in New York with a view like this,” she said, per The New York Times. “Took me quite a while because all the co-op boards kept telling me no. Now it doesn’t matter because I got my own, hm-hm!”

The news comes days after the “We Belong Together” singer gave fans a glimpse of her intimate Easter celebrations. On Sunday, April 5, she shared a photo of herself at home her fraternal 14-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, though it’s unclear whether the photo was taken in the Tribeca penthouse. The trio posed with the Easter bunny and the twins held stuffed bunny toys.
Carey wowed in a pink dress with a thigh-high slit, and she added some shine with a sparkly cropped jacket. She styled her hair in a low ponytail with a center part. Moroccan and Monroe went for a more low-key look in jeans and striped shirts. Carey captioned the post, “Happy Easter! 🐰🩷.”
