EAST HARLEM, New York (WABC) — Police are investigating after a woman was found dead inside a plastic bag in East Harlem on Monday.
MTA Police contacted the NYPD after the woman was found on the sidewalk at East 124th Street and Park Avenue shortly after 6:30 p.m.
EMS responded and pronounced the unidentified woman, of unknown age, dead at the scene.
It’s unclear if the victim suffered any trauma to her body, according to police.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine her cause and manner of death.
