CUNYAC Softball Player of the Week

Sonia Rosales Rosenthal, Hunter (Jr., C/IF, Jamaica, N.Y.)

Rosales Rosenthal batted .552 (16-29) with nine runs batted in and eight runs scored in a 5-3 week and slugged .655 with a double and a triple. She went 6-8 in a conference doubleheader sweep of York.

CUNYAC Softball Pitcher of the Week

Jessica Bowe, Brooklyn (Fr., P, Levittown, N.Y.)

Bowe went 3-0 with a 2.58 ERA in the circle last week and held opponents to a .266 batting average. She tossed a complete game shutout in game two of the doubleheader against Lehman, surrendering four hits.

CUNYAC Softball Rookie of the Week

Abigail Bidinger, Hunter (Fr., P/UT, Boylston, Mass.)

At the plate, Bidinger batted .407 across eight games (11-27) with six RBI and six runs scored, including three doubles and a home run for a .593 slugging percentage. In the circle, she went 2-1 across 18.1 innings pitched, earning wins against Notre Dame (Md.) and Mount Saint Vincent.

CUNYAC Softball Player of the Week (Honorable Mention)

Katelyn Young, Brooklyn (Fr., C, Palmdale, Calif.)

Young batted .500 (10-20) with eight RBI while helping Brooklyn to a 5-1 record last week. She went 5-8 (.625) with three driven in in a conference sweep of Lehman.
