A group of pro-Palestinian activists was arrested during a protest of Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip outside Sen. Chuck Schumer’s office in Manhattan on Monday, cops said.
The demonstrators were taken into custody outside the Senate minority leader’s office on Third Ave. near E. 48th St. in Midtown East around 1:48 p.m., according to law enforcement. The protestors were arrested after refusing orders to disperse, said police.

Demonstrators were seen trying to enter the building housing Schumer’s office before continuing their protest outside after failing to gain entry.
While some activists chanted on the sidewalk, a group of protestors wearing shirts that read, “No war, no ICE, free Palestine,” and “Fund people, not bombs,” sat down in the street blocking traffic.
Multiple protestors were seen being taken into custody and escorted to waiting buses, with police removing some demonstrators from the street.
