HERKIMER, N.Y. — The Herkimer County Humane Society is searching for a dog that was left outside its shelter.
The shelter reported that just before 9 p.m. Sunday, a dark-colored car pulled up, turned on its hazard lights, and quickly drove away, leaving a dog behind.
The dog then crossed the road and entered the parking lot of the shelter, coming very close to traffic.
Anyone who recognizes the car or the dog is asked to contact the Herkimer County Humane Society.
