James Madison’s Brooklyn Hoffmann and Sophie Williams were named Sun Belt Conference Doubles Team of the Week for the fifth time this season, the league announced.

The honor marks a program single-season record for weekly awards for a doubles pair.

Last week, Hoffmann and Williams went 3-0 at No. 1 doubles, securing the fastest finish in each match and helping James Madison claim the doubles point in all three contests.

Their week was highlighted by a 6-4 win April 7 over Old Dominion’s top pairing of Kira Matushkina and Victoria Matasova.

They followed with a 6-3 victory against East Carolina’s Kim Auerswald and Reese Calvo, and capped the stretch with a 6-1 win over George Mason’s Cenan Liu and Mary Young.

Hoffmann and Williams are 13-5 in dual-match doubles play this spring and are riding a six-match winning streak.

James Madison closes the regular season Friday at Appalachian State in Boone, North Carolina.
