Police are looking for a suspect who assaulted a man on a Bronx bus.

Police are investigating an assault in the Bronx that left a man injured earlier this month.

Authorities say that at 3:06 p.m. on April 7, a 79-year-old man was riding a M4 MTA bus in the vicinity of Broadway and West 135 Street when he was approached by an unknown man.

After starting a verbal dispute with the victim, the suspect proceeded to punch the victim multiple times in the face. The suspect also put his hand around the victim’s neck.

Following the altercation, the suspect fled the scene on foot heading northbound on Broadway toward West 136th Street. The victim was taken by EMS to New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a man with a dark complexion who was last seen wearing a black jacket, a gray sweater and a black Yankees hat.
