MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A man was taken to an area hospital after he was struck by a pickup truck Monday evening in Manhattan, authorities said.
The collision was reported around 6:27 p.m. Monday near Manhattan Avenue and Bertrand Street. The location was near the east side of the Kansas State University campus.
Officials said Riley County police responding to the collision found that a 2022 Hyunda Santa Cruz pickup truck driven by Larry Limbocker, 78, of Manhattan, struck Collin Rankin, 21, of Manhattan, when he was in the crosswalk.

Rankin was transported to Via Christi Hospital for his injuries. There was no immediate report of the extent of h is injuries.
Limbocker was issued a citation for failure to stop at a red light, officials said.
