JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida walked off Queens in extra innings, 5-4, to win its third-straight ASUN series on Sunday, April 19, at UNF Softball Complex.

Queens struck first with a pair of runs in the opening frame to take a 2-0 lead.

Senior right-handed pitcher Kate Peters would enter the circle and toss 5.2 scoreless innings in relief to keep the Ospreys within striking distance.

Senior infielder Ayden Allen and junior infielder Bella Cimino each tacked on solo home runs in the fifth and sixth innings to tie the game at 2-2. For Allen and Cimino, it marked their second-consecutive game with home runs.

The game would remain tied deadlocked at two and head to extra innings.

In the top half of the eighth, Queens would retake the lead, 4-2, with back-to-back RBI singles, but the Ospreys would respond in the bottom half of the innings.

Cimino would tack on her second RBI of the game with a bases loaded sacrifice fly to right field to narrow the Royals lead to just one.

With the bases once again loaded, sophomore outfielder Kennedy McQuillan came through for the Ospreys with a walk-off double to right field.
