CHAMPLAIN, N.Y. (WCAX) – A death investigation is underway in New York after police say they found a man strangled to death.
Just before 8 on Saturday night, New York state police responded to a home on Route 9B in Champlain for a reported death.
When they arrived, they found the body of 63-year-old John Murphy on a couch.
On Monday, Murphy’s death was confirmed to be due to strangulation.
New York State Police are asking those in the area for information and security footage.
This is an ongoing investigation.
