BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, Ohio (WOIO) – The Brooklyn Heights Police Department is asking residents to share security camera footage after reports of car break-ins and a pursuit of a suspect early Tuesday morning.
Early Tuesday morning, Brooklyn Heights Police officers were in the area of East Schaff Road looking into reports of car break-ins.
According to a police department Facebook post, at around 2:45 a.m., officers in the area were investigating a disabled stolen car out of Cleveland.
Police said that during the investigation, a suspect fled through the area on foot, and officers deployed a K-9, but did not catch the suspect.
The Brooklyn Heights Police Department is asking residents to check their vehicles and report any suspicious activity or signs of entry immediately.
Anyone who lives in the area of East Schaff Road and Marko Lane and has camera footage from between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. should check their cameras and report any suspicious activity to the police.
