BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — It was quite the year for fun and creativity at the Brooklyn Heights Association’s 2025 Halloween Parade on Sunday.
Hundreds of families made their way along the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, and many of them went all in. Along with the hundreds of adorable fairy princesses, dragons, superheroes and cartoon characters, family group projects included a spaghetti and meatball dinner (mom and dad came as a fork and spoon); a dog-grooming company; and the cast of “The Wizard of Oz.” Other group themes included penguin, dinosaur and ghost families.

Comptroller Brad Lander, dressed as a Nintendo Switch video game controller (get it?) caused a happy sensation when he distributed candy, while youngsters rushed up to press his buttons.
The parade began at Orange Street then meandered at a leisurely pace to the southern end of the esplanade — after which families headed over to Montague Street for Spooky Open Streets and a costumed dog contest.
