ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Office workers at the New York State Department of Transportation left their desks Tuesday to work outside.
It was part of the DOT’s annual Trash Blitz, which is in honor of Earth Day on April 22.
Workers were sent to sites in Albany, Schenectady, and Saratoga counties.
The DOT says littering tarnishes the state’s landscape and threatens the safety of roadways, workers, pedestrians, and natural habitats.
