MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – The City of Manhattan is implementing a few changes to maintain parking access during a major project likely to take place over the next year or two.
The Manhattan city commission approved a design contract for the reconstruction of Moro Street about two weeks ago, and yesterday approved parking adjustments for Aggieville.
The city will suspend the parking rate for the Aggieville parking garage starting June 1st. But that also comes with a 48-hour time limit.
Parking lines inside the garage will also be re-painted, some to wider 90-degree spaces and others to angled stalls.
These changes should stick around through construction, expected to last into 2027 or even 2028, then be replaced with a broader plan after it’s done.
