The New York Yankees will send ace Gerrit Cole and left-hander Carlos Rodón to the Hudson Valley Renegades this week, with both pitchers scheduled for rehab starts with the club’s High-A affiliate.

Cole is slated to pitch Thursday night when Hudson Valley hosts the Brooklyn Cyclones at Heritage Financial Park in Wappingers Falls. First pitch is 6:35 p.m.

Rodón is tentatively scheduled to start Friday at 7:05 p.m., also against Brooklyn.

The outings mark another step in the Yankees’ effort to stabilize a rotation that has yet to feature either pitcher this season. Cole, 35, is working back from Tommy John surgery that sidelined him for all of 2025. The six-time All-Star and 2023 American League Cy Young Award winner made his first rehab appearance Friday with Double-A Somerset, allowing three runs over 4 1/3 innings while throwing 36 of 44 pitches for strikes.

Cole is expected to make multiple rehab starts as the Yankees gradually build his pitch count. He last pitched in the majors in 2024, going 8-5 with a 3.41 ERA and 99 strikeouts across 17 starts. He owns a 153-80 career record with a 3.18 ERA and more than 2,200 strikeouts.

Rodón, 33, has yet to appear in a game in 2026. The three-time All-Star is 93-72 with a 3.73 ERA and 1,409 strikeouts over 11 major league seasons and is 37-26 with a 4.00 ERA since joining the Yankees in 2023.

The Renegades, the Yankees’ High-A affiliate since 2021, offer a nearby stage for fans to see both pitchers as they progress toward returns in the Bronx.
