HIGHBRIDGE, the Bronx (PIX11) — A 50-year-old woman was raped in a Bronx building on Friday, police said.

The woman was attacked in a building near West 164th Street and Ogden Avenue in Highbridge at around 7 p.m., according to the NYPD. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The suspect, clad in a gray Yankees hat, allegedly stole $50 and the woman’s cross pendant chain before fleeing the scene, police said.

Police are searching for a 5-foot-7 man, about 30 to 40 years old, with a goatee. There have been no arrests.

There have been 643 rapes reported citywide this year, and 181 were in the Bronx, according to NYPD data.
