More than 200,000 pairs of heated socks sold at Costco are being recalled after at least 13 people reported first- or second-degree burns, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The 32 Degrees-branded socks come with a rechargeable battery pack. During high-intensity activities, they can generate a combination of heat, excessive friction, moisture, and pressure that poses an injury threat, CPSC says.

The refund was initiated Thursday.

The socks were sold at Costco stores and online from August 2025 through March 2026. Anyone who purchased the socks should stop using them immediately and return them for a full refund.
