Transit police in the Bronx are on the hunt for the suspect who pepper-sprayed a straphanger during a dispute on a subway train earlier this week.
The NYPD released an image Thursday of the female suspect sought for the attack that occurred on board a Wakefield-bound 2 train approaching the East 225 Street station at about 12:30 a.m. on April 20.
Based on a preliminary investigation, police learned that the victim, a 27-year-old man, got into a verbal argument with the perpetrator. The words turned violent, cops said, when the woman pulled out a pepper-spray canister and blasted it in the man’s face.Â
After unleashing the noxious chemical, cops said, the suspect exited the 2 train after it stopped at East 225th Street, then fled to parts unknown.
