As the rookie walked into the building, he quickly changed into his new team colors, rocking a Bills long sleeve as he toured the facility. Saturday marked Parker’s first day ever in the state of New York, but he quickly picked up on similarities with his former team in Clemson.
“I’m coming from an organization in Clemson, where everything was about family, about people. I’m just so glad that Bills Mafia is the same way.”
The Bills are getting someone who knows the importance of a good culture, but they’re also getting a player who thrives on physicality.
At 6’4 and 263 pounds, Parker has traits that set him apart from others. The OLB uses speed-to-power to get after opposing offenses. He also has violent hands that rip through offensive linemen and knockdown the quarterback. He loves getting on an offense’s nerves.
Right after getting drafted on Friday night, Parker said he wants to bring a nasty edge to Buffalo’s defense.
“I’m running out there and hitting somebody,” Parker said. “Look, since I was four years old, I told my mom I want to hit somebody, and she threw me in football. I’ve always been physical, always been violent … I’m going to fly around, run to the ball, and we’re going to hit people.”
