Dave Grohl’s daughter Violet is continuing to follow in her dad’s footsteps with a major milestone.
“So excited to announce my first headline shows,” the 20-year-old shared on Instagram on Monday.
The daughter of the Foo Fighters icon will be hitting the road for three shows in New York, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. starting in June.
And fans couldn’t contain their excitement.
“SO HYPED,” one wrote.
“So happy and excited for you,” added another.
“Gosh I am so excited! You are a star. Get ready baby girl,” said a third.
Also among the comments were tons of requests that Violet schedule more shows across the US and Europe.
While her music talents have been on display since she was young, as she’s been known to join her dad on stage over the years, Violet’s career has seen major momentum recently as she’s signed a record deal and released new music.

Specifically, her singles “Thum” and “Applefish,” released late last year, have garnered thousands of views on YouTube. Her debut album, “Be Sweet To Me” is releasing on May 29, according to her Instagram.
While perhaps it may be easy to credit her father’s connections to her success, Dave recently noted that he wasn’t involved with any of his daughter’s projects.
“So Violet, my daughter, she’s 19, about to turn 20, she made this album with a producer named Justin Raisen, and she did it on her own,” he said in a February interview on The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X. “She met the producer, and they would go to the studio every day, and she would send me songs when she was finished. But I had absolutely nothing to do with this record at all.”
“I’m the dad who wants to be there and know everything, and she’s just totally doing her own thing.” he added. “It’s amazing.”
Violet isn’t the only daughter of Dave’s to have pursued music as he recently shared that his 16-year-old Harper is featured on his recent single, “Your Favorite Toy.” The record by, the same name, came out on April 24.
Dave shares Violet and Harper with Jordyn Blum whom he married in 2003.
