Advocates rallied on Monday at the state Capitol for passage of a package of bills raising awareness around menopause and its impact on women in the workforce.
State Assemblymember Linda Rosenthal sponsors five bills that address the cost of menopausal treatments (A.5444), protect women experiencing menopause in the workplace (A.5436); and ensure that women are informed about the health issues linked to menopause (A.9170), (A.9000), (A.9304).
Rosenthal spoke with Capital Tonight’s Susan Arbetter about the package of bills and why she believes it’s critical to pass them this session.
