MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A man was arrested Monday night in connection with domestic battery and other offenses in Manhattan, officials said.
The incident was reported around 12:20 a.m. Monday at an undisclosed location in Manhattan.
A 21-year-old woman was listed as the victim and a known man was listed as the suspect.

Officials said Joseph Vernon Ray Chames Jr., 22, of Manhattan, was arrested around 6:08 p.m. Monday in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road.
Chames was booked into the Riley County Jail in connection with domestic battery; criminal damage to property; criminal restraint; and criminal trespass.
Chames was released from jail after he posted an $8,000 bond.
