President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump welcomed Britain’s King Charles III and Queen Camilla to the White House for a state dinner in the East Room. This is the king’s first visit to the United States since his coronation and is meant to mark the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence. The formal dinner is part of the king and queen’s four-day state visit.
