After years of planning and bidding, the first live table casino games are operational in the five boroughs.
Resorts World New York City is adding over 200 table games with dealers, including blackjack and roulette tables. Resorts World was one of the three proposals the state offered a coveted downstate gaming license after a years-long process.
State Sen. Joseph Addabbo, who chairs the Committee on Racing, Gaming and Wagering, told NY1 anchor Rocco Vertuccio during an interview on “News All Day” that he is confident that the launch will be a success.
“Resorts World has a proven commodity,” Addabbo said. “It’s one of the most successful gaming sites in the country.”
Resorts World is also planning a large expansion to its facility, including a new 7,000-seat entertainment venue.
