OZONE PARK, Queens (PIX11) — The 15-year-old boy shot on a Queens subway during Monday evening rush hour was struck by gunfire just a few months ago, police said.
The teen was shot in the neck and back on a Manhattan-bound A train near the 80th Street subway station in Ozone Park at around 6 p.m., according to the NYPD.

The boy was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition as of Tuesday. police said.
The shooter then fled the subway station. The NYPD released photos of the suspect sought in the incident.

The victim was also shot in February but did not cooperate with the investigation, police said. The details of that incident were not immediately available.
“I am relieved he is expected to survive,” Mayor Zohran Mamdani posted on X. “This was an unacceptable incident; violence like this has no place on our subway system, and my administration is committed to doing everything in our power to make every New Yorker — especially children — safe on their daily commutes.”
