Steinway Street turned into a block party for the ages on Sun­day, April 26, 2026.

From 10 am to 6 pm, thousands of families gathered in Astoria to enjoy arts and crafts, a wide variety of demonstrations, and children’s rides. Festival-lovers found themselves munching on delicious bites from over 500 different vendors. It was the perfect way to cap off a jovial weekend in Queens. Astoria’s diversity was proudly celebrated as dancers from troupes all around the world performed traditional song and dance routines from Japan to the USA.

Good vibes took over 28th Ave. to 34th Ave. as people found themselves completely immersed in the different booths. Kids wound up taking impromptu karate lessons, while adults enjoyed soaking in the sunshine as they sipped on fruity beverages inside of freshly cut pineapples. There truly was something for every­one.

This is just the beginning of street fair season in the borough. Mark your calendars because there’s much more to come. Here is a list of future street fairs in Astoria that you won’t want to miss this summer:

Sunday, August 9 – Steinway (34th Ave to 30th Ave)

Monday, September 7 – 30th Avenue (30th Street to 41st Street)

Saturday, October 10 – Broadway (30th Street to 41st Street)
