Two Irish drag queens have been assaulted while filming a promotional video for their shows.
Lucina Schynning and Krystal Queer were filming a video on the street when a man came up to them from behind and attacked them. Upon the pair confronting the attacker, another group of men began assaulting them.
The Cork-based drag queens posted a video to their Instagram on Monday (27 October), explaining the attacks and showing footage of their attackers.
They captioned the distributing video: “Last night we wanted to film a silly little video to promote an upcoming event, unfortunately while we were recording we experienced two unprovoked homophobic attacks. If anyone has any footage or information on the men included in the above video we would really appreciate you reaching out to us.”

In a video posted two days after the attack, the pair confirmed that all of the attackers have been identified and reported to the Garda Síochána.
They captioned the update: “Thank you all so much for your support, your comments, and your messages. We are so grateful for every last one of you and promise we will get around to reading them all.”
They confirmed they will be protesting the behaviour by going ahead with the upcoming event.
