A religious leader has been arrested for sexually abusing two 10-year-old girls inside his Queens mosque — and investigators think there may be more victims out there, police said Thursday.
Tajul Islam, 55, is accused of groping and molesting the victims inside Masjid Bilal Queens on Sutphin Blvd. near 121st Ave. in Jamaica on April 21.
He was arrested Monday for sexual abuse, forcible touching and acting in a manner injurious to a child.
Islam lives at the mosque and is the congregation’s “religious leader,” according to the criminal complaint.
During his arraignment in Queens Criminal Court Tuesday, he was ordered held on $25,000 bail. Orders of protection barring him from approaching his victims were issued, prosecutors said.
An email for comment to the Legal Aid Society, which represented Islam at his arraignment, was not immediately returned. A call to the Masjid Bilal Queens was not returned.

Fearing he may have other victims, police have put out Islam’s mugshot in the hopes others recognize him or come forward.
