BROOKLYN, N.Y. (KLTV) – Former Van Vandal Hoss Brewer had a scoreless appearance in Brooklyn’s 5-0 loss to Frederick on Wednesday.
Brewer (1-1) has a 5.63 ERA in eight innings this season.
He entered the game in the fifth inning with a runner at first and two outs. Brewer allowed a single and a walk before getting Colin Yeaman to strike out swinging and end the inning. In the sixth inning, Brewer forced Elis Cuevas to fly out before Felix Amparo reached on a throwing error. Brewer got a strikeout and a groundout to end the inning.
Brewer threw 31 pitches, including 21 for strikes.
Brooklyn (5-17) continues its series against Frederick on Thursday.
