A school bus struck and killed a 9-year-old boy who was on his way to school in Brooklyn Friday, police said.

The bus was rolling through Williamsburg at about 8:15 a.m. when  the 49-year-old driver made a left turn from Lee Ave. onto Lorimer St., cops said. As he turned, he struck the child as he was trying to cross the street.

Medics rushed the child to Woodhull Hospital, where the child died. The boy’s name was not immediately released as cops track down relatives.

The driver at first continued driving, but quickly returned after someone waved him down and told him that he had struck someone.

It was not immediately disclosed if there were children on the school bus when the accident occurred.

No charges were immediately filed.
