Still looking to leaf peep in Upstate New York? Consider this your last call.
Peak fall foliage is putting on a final show in Upstate, particularly in the Rochester and Buffalo areas.
As I LOVE NY, the state’s tourism bureau, wrote in its latest fall foliage report, the “seasonal symphony of color [is] reaching final destinations in the Finger Lakes and Hudson Valley.”
The report, the eighth of the season, shows that brilliant fall colors are fading to shades of brown across Upstate. Crispy leaves are starting to fall from trees and blanket the ground in every region.

The start of November will likely mark the end of the leaf peeping season, even as fall colors hang on a little longer downstate in New York City and on Long Island.
If you’re not ready to let go of fall colors, don’t fret.
Pops of autumnal beauty can be found in every region of Upstate New York, including in Western New York and the mostly past-peak Adirondacks.
