STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — No, it’s not a trick, but those planning on attending the 121st Precinct’s 10th annual “Trunk or Treat” in Graniteville Thursday afternoon are in for a bit of disappointment.

The NYPD precinct located at 970 Richmond Ave. took to social media to make the announcement:

“We regretfully inform you that due to the upcoming weather, tomorrow’s planned trunk or treat will have to be canceled. We are sorry for this inconvenience and thank you for understanding,” officials wrote.

The yearly event draws families and children from throughout the borough to the circular driveway of the mid-Island precinct.

There, members of the department decorate police vehicles, hand out treats and have other surprises in store for the little ones dressed up in their most cute, colorful, fun and frightening costumes.
