ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – Alexandria Police Department announced the arrest of Jerry Phillips III, 60, on Sunday, May 3 as a suspect connected to a shooting in Alexandria.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3500 block of Queens Court at around 10:45 a.m. on Sunday. At the scene, they found one person with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Phillips, who was the suspect, was also at the scene and was taken into custody. He was charged with one count of aggravated second-degree battery and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
This is an ongoing investigation.
