DUMBO — RESTAURANTEUR Jean-Georges Vongerichten opened his first Brooklyn restaurant, “ABC Kitchens,” on Oct. 23 in DUMBO at 55 Water St. in the Empire Stores complex, according to Eater. The space, with a view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges from its outdoor terrace, is a hybrid of Vongerichten’s three existing “ ABC” restaurants — ABC Kitchen in Manhattan, ABC Cocina, and ABCV.
Menu items incorporate dosas from V, crab toast from Kitchen, and empanadas from Cocina, along with original recipes with a seasonal focus and a spotlight on fresh, organic vegetables. Reservations are open.
