Mayor Zohran Mamdani wished his predecessor – and bitter critic – Rudy Giuliani well as the ex-Hizzoner remained hospitalized Monday.

Mamdani gave the show of support for Giuliani as he faced questions from reporters during an unrelated event in the Bronx.

“Absolutely, I’m wishing strength and recovery to former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and his loved ones during this difficult time,” Mamdani said. “And I hope that his recovery is steady, and I hope that his family finds peace in one another during this time.”

Representatives for Giuliani, 81, revealed Sunday that “America’s Mayor” was hospitalized in Florida in critical but stable condition.

Giuliani’s business partner revealed Monday that the former mayor was suffering from pneumonia

The touch-and-go news prompted an outpouring of sympathy and support for Giuliani, including from his ally President Trump.

And Giuliani’s political polar opposite, Mamdani, noted the impact he had on New York City.

“I think former Mayor Giuliani is someone that we as New Yorkers know well, and he’s been a fixture in our city’s politics and public life for so many years, and I know that many New Yorkers are concerned by reports he is in critical condition and so we do keep him and his family in our prayers at this time,” Mamdani said.
