A new mural has been unveiled across the street from the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino.
The Seneca Nation bought the property at 106 Michigan Avenue earlier this year at the site of the old Club Marcella, which closed earlier this year.
This new mural showcases Buffalo’s four pro sports teams: the Bandits, Bisons, Sabres and Bills.
Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino employee Nickey Sereluca created the new artwork.
“We had this giant blank wall after a fire in this building and we wanted to put something up on it,” Sereluca said. “I really wanted to make it more than a billboard, so I pitched this idea to do a mural with each section based on each sports team. I just went through each section and worked with a lot of fans and did a lot of research, so we really represent each fan base.”
Sereluca said it took her 200 hours from start to finish on her iPad. The illustration was then printed on vinyl and then applied to the wall of the building.
