Presale tickets are available now for the annual Lackawanna County Heritage Fair, which returns to Montage Mountain Resorts in Scranton on June 4 and runs through June 7.

Prospective fairgoers can buy tickets for the family-friendly event by visiting montagemountainresorts.com and clicking the “shop” link at the top of the website. Fair tickets once again provide free access to the resort’s popular water park, a major draw that complements carnival rides, games, food, continuous live entertainment and other offerings during the four-day event.

Fair hours will be: Thursday, June 4, 4-10 p.m.; Friday, June 5, noon to 10 p.m.; Saturday, June 6, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, June 7, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Water park hours end two hours before the fair closes each day.

Standard admission is $15 on June 4, 5 and 7, and $20 on June 6. But families and other groups planning to attend on June 4 can take advantage of a deal offering four opening-day fair tickets for $40, which amounts to a discount of $5 per ticket.

Children less than 3 feet tall will be admitted for free on any of the four days.

“Visitors are invited to come and learn about Lackawanna County’s history and heritage while also enjoying live entertainment, waterpark fun, unique cuisines, interactive displays, local artisans, vendors, and educational demonstrations,” fair organizers noted in a press release announcing the presale tickets. “There will also be a huge fireworks display on Friday night, June 5th, and a spectacular fireworks show Saturday night, June 6th, celebrating the 250th Anniversary of America.”

Organizers recently highlighted a new fundraising opportunity this year allowing local nonprofit organizations to sell general admission tickets to the fair and keep a $5 commission on each ticket sold. Individuals and nonprofits can also contract with the fair to sell sponsorships for a 15% commission.

This will be the sixth county heritage fair, with Montage Mountain Resorts having hosted the event since 2019, its inaugural year. The fair returned in 2022, following a pandemic-prompted hiatus in 2020 and 2021, and has continued annually since.

Tickets can also be purchased at the gate.
