Tuesday marks Cinco de Mayo, the annual holiday that commemorates Mexico’s victory over the Second French Empire and celebrates Mexican-American culture. Local restaurants and national chains are offering specials on drinks, meals, giveaways and more to help guests enjoy the festivities for less. Here’s a roundup:
Applebee’s: The chain is celebrating with drink specials, including $6 Mucho cocktails, $8–$9 premium margaritas, and $20 beer buckets featuring Modelo or Corona.

BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse: Take advantage of happy hour pricing on a Brewhouse Margarita, priced at $6 at the bar from 3-7 p.m. or from 9 p.m. until close.
Cantina, Saratoga Springs: The rooftop deck will be open with live music, along with happy hour specials including $5 draft beers and 2-for-1 margaritas from 3 to 7 p.m. at the bar. It’s also Taco Tuesday, featuring $3 à la carte taco specials.
Chili’s Bar & Grill: Sip on a premium Patrón Frozen Marg for only $7, a Classic Marg for only $5 or the chain’s May Marg of the Month, the Popping Boba Marg, for only $6.
