BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — A chaotic interaction between the NYPD, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and protesters is raising questions about New York City’s sanctuary laws.
The scene unfolded outside Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Bushwick on Sunday, after ICE agents brought a man they were detaining to the hospital.
A protest broke out outside, and the NYPD responded to the protest, according to the NYPD. But many city officials, including Council Member Sandy Nurse, have accused the officers of collaborating with ICE.
