Jacob, there were moments tonight when you looked like yourself locked in, but I know the, the final line wasn’t what you wanted.

So what do you take away from this one?

Yeah, I mean, that’s on me.

You know, we go out and put up three runs in the first.

I give up one in the first and then two in the second to let them tie the game, and then just wasn’t able to put up zeros and give us a chance to win.

So, you know, gave up the lead, what, in the sixth and then in the seventh come out of the game with two runners on.

So I have to do a better job.

That’s on me.

Did you feel like this was a situation of just not feeling like you had your best stuff today?

Or was it just a couple pitches that you feel like you missed?

I, I mean, I didn’t think my stuff was bad, just didn’t execute like I needed to.

made some mistakes over the middle and they capitalized on it.

And like I said, I gotta go out there and do a better job.

This was the second game where you threw your changeup a lot.

You went a little bit more to your off-speed stuff.

What was the intention behind that?

I mean, just seeing the swings on the fastball early, you know, it looked like they were trying to hunt the fastball and tried to make the adjustment.

And, you know, the homer happened to be a curve ball I left in the middle and then, that’s what tied the game.

And then, you know, Jazz got to a fastball and then like, like I said in the seventh gave up the hit there to who, McMahon.

Yeah.

And you know, that wasn’t actually a bad pitch.

And then the bunt and then, then I was out of the game.

So it’s just poor execution on my part.

What do you think is, Can you pinpoint what is standing in the way of you executing how you want to?

you know, I just don’t think I’m getting a fastball down enough.

You know, it’s top of the zone and I think they’re able to, you know, sit up over.

So I will figure that out in between.

The, the home run that McMahon hit was a curve ball, right?

Mm-hmm.

It Like location-wise it didn’t, it wasn’t in the middle of the zone.

It was up.

Yeah, it just needs to be down.

Yeah.

I gotta get that ball down.

Okay.

you know, that’s the whole thing.

Everything that was hit, you know, co- Bellinger’s, up-away fastball, double off the wall.

Judge was what, an up-away fastball.

Nothing was- So- really where I want it, so.

I, I know I’ve asked you this before, but like when you have nights where you can’t get the ball down, like is there a commonality to, to why?

you know, if I knew that I’d probably try to fix it a little sooner.

felt like there in what I mean, I made the mistake to Jazz, that he got to, but there in the fifth, sixth and even the start of the seventh, I felt like I was locating down more.

so I was trying to make the adjustment just, you know, still making mistakes in the middle of the plate.
