BROOKLYN, Ohio
Littering, Brookpark Road: On Sept. 28, police were dispatched to Walmart regarding a disturbance at the Brookpark Road store.
An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said two females were arguing.
After dispelling the interaction, the officer watched one of the woman throw a crinkled-up business card on the ground after leaving the store.
She was cited for littering.
Unwanted guest, Boxwood Circle: On Sept. 30, police were dispatched to a Boxwood Circle address regarding a complaint of a confrontational party.
The caller reported her friend, who attempted to confront her at the home, left before the officer arrived.
The officer did talk to the friend, who was advised of being trespassed from the house.
No charges were filed.
Attempted car theft, Westbrook Drive: On Oct. 1, police were dispatched to Westbrook Village Apartments regarding an attempted car theft report in the Westbrook Drive parking lot.
An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said two suspects attempted to break into various vehicles.
While they were unsuccessful in stealing a 2021 Kia and 2013 Hyundai, the suspects did cause damage.
There are no suspects.
Police are investigating.
Shoplifting, Brookpark Road: On Oct. 1, police were dispatched to Menards regarding a report of theft that took place more than a month earlier.
The caller told the arriving officer a repeat female theft suspect took two knives and batteries from the Brookpark Road store.
There are no suspects.
