CITYWIDE – THE FIFA WORLD CUP 26 New York New Jersey Host Committee has put out an open call for performers to represent the metro region at official fan events for the World Cup in June and July, the committee announced on Thursday.
The committee said it was looking for talented adults from the city area with strong local roots who can deliver cultural or community-based performances. Dancers, musicians, drummers and performing artists of all kinds are encouraged to apply.
Selectees will perform at events at the Queens Group Stage HQ located in the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center or the Jersey Fan Hub in the Sports Illustrated Stadium on dates between June 11 and July 19.
Instructions for submitting video auditions can be found through the application form online. The submission deadline is noon on May 11.
