New York State Police arrested Jeffrey J. Soucia of Malone for arson in the third degree and burglary in the third degree. Troopers responded to a report of an abandoned building on fire on State Route 11 in the village of Malone Thursday at 7:54 p.m. An investigation determined the fire was suspicious and that 26-year-old Soucia intentionally set the vacant residential property on fire.Soucia was arrested and processed. He was released on his own recognizance. No one was injured in the fire.The Malone Town Constable and fire crews from Malone, Burke, Westville and Chateaugay all responded to help at the scene.
