MOTT HAVEN, The Bronx (PIX11) — A third body was discovered at the site of a fatal fire in Mott Haven, according to the FDNY.
The fire broke out Wednesday morning in a mixed-use building that housed a grocery store. Officials said the blaze quickly spread from the first floor to the apartments above.
Two firefighters and an EMT were taken to the hospital while battling the fire.
After the flames were put out, fire crews found one man dead inside the building.
On Thursday, firefighters found a second unidentified person dead and a third on Friday during controlled demolition of the building.
Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
The victims have yet to be identified.
