ONEIDA, N.Y. — Catstock 6 brought music, crafts and plenty of cats to the community for a day of fun and fundraising.
Hundreds attended the event at the Oneida American Legion, which benefits local cat rescues and shelters.
Organizer John Chesebro said Catstock has grown over six years from a small gathering with three bands to a large festival with 65 vendors, music acts inside and outside, food and games for kids.
Chesebro said, “In five years of doing this, we’ve raised about $35,000 until today, which is really growing.”
He explained that the event helps cats get spayed or neutered, find homes or receive care if they are too feral to be adopted.
Despite a little rain and cooler weather, the event continued until 9 p.m. with strong community support.
